Additionally, if you or someone else can persuade you that you can’t do it because you don’t know how, it means that you were probably not destined to run a Bee-Hive in the first place!!!

Now, if you answered YES to either of these questions in the Litmus Test, then chances are that you have a hobby rather than a business.

Perhaps that is the last thing you wanted to hear, however, the truth can set you free. Many times people want to turn something that they love into a business and are wondering why they cannot make a profit from doing what they love to do. 

Isn’t that what we were told, do what you love and the money will follow?  The answer is YES, by all means do what you love however first determine if you have the commitment required to run a business. 

It’s okay to have a hobby and do it for the love you receive when you are engaged in that activity. However, give up the notion that you will ever make any money from that hobby.

The first step to having the sweet success in your hive is stepping into the BEE-ing of an entrepreneur.  

This means that you exemplify and embody the qualities, characteristics and attributes, you radiate who you are beeing out to the world AND then you will attract customers to you – like bees to a flower.

What determines whether my business idea is a hobby?

First of all, if you are the primary producer of your service, in other words, you might be a massage therapist, speaker, trainer, workshop facilitator, coach, or provide professional or consulting services; you may be producing an income yet your earnings are determined by your physical capability to provide your services.  

If this is the case, you own your own business AND it could actually be considered a contracted job providing your services by the hour.

If along with your personal production, you have:

• a Mission and Vision Statement,
• a Short and Long range Action Strategy
• products to sell
• a website to promote yourself and products
• a dedicated client base and/or subscription list

AND have the structure in place to evaluate if you are making a profit --- then you are in a business and you are also the CEO!

Common Business Pitfalls:

It gets real simple
no clients -- no sales – no profit = no business.

•  Many people believe they have a business when they are primarily contracting their services out in hourly paid job assignments.  In this case, it is more like a job than a business.

•  Some people believe they have a business however they are not bringing in any income or profit. In this case, they have a hobby until they are monetizing their services.

Obviously since you are still reading this, let me suggest it is because you resonate with what is being said and want to know more.

The Attraction Bee-ing Camp is delivered in several fun filled formats that will be guided by the Queen Bee, Jan H. Stringer and King Bee, Alan Hickman. 

The Camp includes

• An on-site Bee Hive Session to be held in Santa Fe, NM.
• 8-Bee-Hive calls held via tele-conference line.
• 2-Follow up Group Bee-Hive Calls will be held one time per month after the initial series.

Private One-on-One Bee-Coaching Packages are offered to individuals for a small additional amount of honey.
